Wed 06 May Activities at Daytona 500 Vaction Trip

I was at the beach by myself today. Nan is really feeling bad today. I feel so bad that she is struggling with her health. I should have stayed in with her today but couldn't miss setting at the beach all day today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for her....
The beach looking south from where we set each day!
The beach looking north... As you can see it's not very crowed this week and we like it that way. Not a lot of college kids running around causing trouble...
This family has built this castle every day. They build a big moat but the tide comes in and Wash's it smooth every day. It's a lot of fun watching them every day. Kinda like work every day, come in and do it over every day but in a cubical, yahoo...

I should have brought a kite. Kits fly every day with the wind. The inland temperature is over 90 degrees each day in Daytona 500 but at the beach its a cool 80 degrees plus with the wind. I'll take that type of wind every day.

Wed 06 May 09 Sunrise

What else could I say, i think the pictures speaks volumes....

Tuesday 6 May 09 Day 3

Sunrise this morning.... I look forward to this every morning. I wake up around 5 AM and come down and work on my computer until the sun comes up and then go back to my room to exercise. With Nan's back hurting her so much, she misses out so much right now.
Foyer looking out from my computer desk... Nice office!!!

Nan got really sun burn yesterday. She has been really careful but still burns easily...
Nans proud of her burn....

Our view 8 hrs a day, rough life...
It's 90 degrees inland, over 80 degrees with the breeze coming off the ocean and Nan is still cold...
Just relaxing!
My Lovey....

Day three: Sunrise

While Nan was sleeping, I couldn't help but enjoy todays view. Nothing more awesome than a beautiful sunrise! View from the hotel.

Day Two: Ocean Walk Vacation

The local pigeon thinks he the "King of the hill"
Just relaxing at the beach....
Nan, enjoying the sun after being stuck in Ohio all winter....
Any bad day at the beach is better than any awesome day at work... Boy, life is hard today...
Our view at the office today!!!
Sunrise from our balcony this morning...

The Ocean Walk Resort Day 1

Wyndam Ocean Walk Resort
Today we flew to Daytona Beach Florida for a week long vacation at the beach. A friend at work has a time share and was going to loose his week, so he offered it to me. I couldn't refuse it with it being on the beach and with Nanny having such a hard winter with her back. We really need this vaction. More to follow.....

2nd Ultra Sound of 2nd Grand Child

212 Days to go
Aaron and Kristy called Thursday night and told us that Kristy had her second ultra sound and our new grand child was very activity. It was doing somersaults and moving all over the place. Emmy wasn't active like this. Maybe this one will be a boy!!! Can't wait...

Bristol 2009 Spring Race

The walk to the race
Entrance gate on the south side. Not as spectacular as the front gate
Hanselmans "Dustin, Marcus, Fred" & myself, yes the Jr. fan...
Opening ceremonies
Carl Edwards pit stop on back pit. Carl ended up 2nd place. His car is the Scott's fertilizer car which sponsored the Busch Race
Kevin Harvick stop on the back pit. He ended up winning the race.
Turn 3 & 4. We sat in turn 3 in Jimmy Johnson's section A.
Warm up laps prior to the race start. Mustangs were the pace car and Ford was a co-sponsor with Scott's Fertilizer
Final turn after a caution
The winning circle for Kevin Harvick
The whiner Kyle Bush. He lead most the laps and then had to go to the back of the pack with 30 laps to go for speeding down pit row... After the race, he got out of his car, threw his helmet, and stormed down the tunnel. The crowd went crazy because this is Jr's territory and they dislike Kyle big time in the south...
Nascar officials checking cars after the race to verify fairness
